You would be, eat for lunch by Putin. In a savage disagreement on Russia and Ukraine, Harris informs Trump.

In Tuesday night's highly anticipated candidate debate, Republican contender Donald Trump and Democratic opponent Kamala Harris sparred frequently about Russia, Russian president Vladimir Putin, and the conflict in Ukraine.

Putin "would eat you for lunch," Harris threatened Trump, the former president of the United States, adding that "Putin would be sitting in Kyiv right now" if the Republican were elected.

After 2.5 years of fighting and a significant military budget drive by the United States, she further charged that Trump was prepared to leave Ukraine. In the ABC News Presidential Debate, Harris stated, "Understand why the European allies and our NATO allies are so grateful that you are currently not the leader and that we comprehend the value of the strongest military partnership the world has ever witnessed, which is NATO," based to a transcription of the discussion.

Rejecting Harris' remarks, Trump told the crowd that Putin "would spend time in Moscow, and he wouldn't have lost 300,000 men and women" in the conflict and that the battle would never have begun if he had been in office in 2022.

The precise number of war casualties is unknown. Such private data is not disclosed by Russia or Ukraine, but American intelligence agencies calculated last year that some 315,000 Russian soldiers, the great majority of whom are men, had died or been injured in the conflict up to that point.

Trump has implied time and time again that he would like a swift end to the fight and cut off military support for Ukraine. This has officials in Kiev worried that they would be forced to give over the seized land to Russia as part of an agreement.

Tuesday night, Trump was questioned multiple times about whether he thought it was desirable for the United States for Kyiv to prevail in the conflict or if he wanted Ukraine to win. In response, he reaffirmed his desire for the war to end in order to save lives and said he would try to work out a compromise with Russia.

In the past, he has declared that if elected president, he will put an end to the war in a day, although he has not specified how. He remained silent on Tuesday as well, failing to say how a solution would be negotiated or whether it would require Ukraine to give up occupied land to Russia, something Kiev has always refused to do.

"I believe that ending this war quickly is better for the United States. Fine. Make a contract through negotiation. Because, as a record of the ABC News Presidential Debate shows, we have to prevent all of these lives of people from being lost. "I desire the end of the conflict.

Millions of people are being slaughtered, and I want to save those lives that are being wasted. The millions are the issue. Trump declared, "It's so much worse than the numbers that you're getting, which are fake numbers," but he offered no proof or additional information.

Harris expressed her belief that Donald Trump's claim that the conflict would end in a day is because he would just give up the fight. And as Americans, that is not who we are. Republicans and Democrats argued over military assistance for Ukraine during the presidential nomination process, a high-profile issue that caused months of impasse over a $60 billion aid package for Ukraine that was ultimately agreed upon in springtime.

Since Russia started what Washington termed as a "premeditated, unintentional, and violent full-scale invasion of Ukraine" on February 20, 2022, the U.S. has given more than $55.7 billion in military support to Ukraine, the U.S. State Department said in an announcement last week.

Harris declared on Tuesday that Ukraine was able to withstand Russia's invasion thanks to military assistance from the United States and its worldwide allies, adding that "Ukraine stands as an open and free country because of our backing, particularly because of the air safety, weapons, artillery, javelins, and Abrams tanks that we have offered."

On Tuesday, Trump restated his often expressed stance that Europe was "a far greater benefit to getting this thing done than we are" and that the United States should not be contributing more to NATO or Ukraine than its European allies.

Europe ought to be made to equalize by force. Having said that, I want to end the conflict. Both Vladimir and [Ukrainian President Volodymyr] Zelenskyy are people I know really well. I get along well with them," Trump remarked.

The Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called the debate between Trump and Harris a circus early on Wednesday. When requested a response on the dispute, the official said, "To be truthful, I don't know why you believe that's huge information," as reported by Russian state news agency Tass.

The official made this statement to Sputnik Radio. She posed a hypothetical question, "Is it significant developments that we could see an additional show delivered by individuals who obviously take no accountability whatsoever for their phrases?"

In order to avoid offending either political party or the next president, Ukraine has refrained from making any public comments on the Harris-Trump discussion before the election.

Vladimir Putin's name was used in the discussion, which the Kremlin found objectionable. It further stated that "the U.S. as a whole, whatever side its nominees may be from, maintains its unfavorable hostile approach to our country."

In a sense, Putin's name is employed as a tool in the US political system's internal conflict. That is really, truly not what we like. In remarks interpreted by NBC News, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov informed the media, "We still hope they will leave our president's name alone." "I believe that American voters are concerned about the remaining issues. They should evaluate their candidates' acts, not us since we have our own issues, accomplishments, and issues of our own," he continued.
