In an airport  conveyor belt  mishap in Chicago, a woman perished.

After being caught in a conveyor belt in the luggage area at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport, a woman passed away.

A Chicago Fire Division spokesman, Larry Langford, informed local media that the woman was "connected in a belt systems used to move baggage" at one of the airport's private check-in areas.

The woman's age was reported by the police as57, but they withheld her name.

The woman was not a worker of the the terminal, the US Department of Labor informed the local media.

Around 7:30 local time (01:30 BST), the Chicago Fire Department received a report of an unconscious woman pinned behind luggage moving equipment.

The woman was discovered in the airport's Terminal 5, which is where foreign aircraft land.

According to policy, at 2:30 p.m. local time, the woman was observed on security footage entering the restricted, unoccupied area.

There would not have been a security breach because the region was not regarded as a high-security area. While the body is being examined post-mortem, Chicago police are looking into the death.
