A member of BTS apologizes for drinking and driving on a scooter.

People who have been injured by my negligence and improper behaviour" received an apology from Suga.

Suga, a member of the K-pop boy band BTS, has expressed regret following his fine for operating an electric scooter while inebriated.

In a social media post, the 31-year-old expressed his regret and said he was "very heavy-hearted" for giving his supporters "disappointing news."

The rapper claimed in the post that he "violated the road traffic act" when he "[forgot] that you are unable to utilize a motorized scooter under the alcohol" and that he had driven home from Seoul "thinking it was a close distance."

"I fell while parked the electric scooter right in front of my residence, and there was an enforcement officer nearby," wrote the man.

"I submitted to a breathalyser test and afterwards had my license revoked and was assessed."

His blood alcohol content was 0.08%, according to authorities, according to the Yonhap news agency in South Korea

He went on to say: "even though no one suffered injury and no stuff sustained damage, this is entirely my responsibility with no excuses." I sincerely apologize to everyone I have offended with my irresponsible and negligent actions, and I promise to make sure it never happens again."

The wildly popular boy band is presently taking a break as its members finish their military service. Suga enlisted last year and is currently employed as a social service agent after being found unsuitable for combat duty on a regular basis.

According to local media, the celebrity's other service was probably connected to the shoulder surgery he needed in 2020.

Bighit, the record company for BTS, has also expressed regret over the scooter mishap.

"All of us show our sincere regret for the incident concerning BTS member Suga and his motorized kickboard accident," the group said in a statement.

We express our regret for the disappointment that the artist's unsuitable actions have caused.

He is ready to accept any disciplinary measures from his workplace for producing a social disruption because he worked as a social service agent during his military service. "We will take more attention to ensure that such occurrences do not happen again in the future years."
