Trump mostly posts offensive memes about Biden on Facebook and Instagram.

 In the lead-up to the US presidential elections in November, Meta has removed the last remaining limitations on Donald Trump's Instagram and Facebook accounts.


 In 2021, the accounts of the former US president and convicted felon were suspended due to his adulation of followers who stormed the US Capitol on January 6.

 The social media behemoth revealed in a blog post that Trump's accounts, which together have over 60 million followers, were re-instated in 2023 but were subject to extra surveillance. 

This monitoring has since been lifted. Meta asserted that it was its duty to permit political expression and that all citizens ought to have equal access to hear from candidates for president.

It stated  that contenders for the US Presidency. 
continue to be bound by the same Community Standards that apply to all users of Facebook and Instagram, including the guidelines intended to stop hate speech and the instigation of violence."

Trump's accounts have primarily shared campaign updates and memes since returning to Meta's platforms, along with criticism of challenger Joe Biden for the presidency.

 According to data from CrowdTangle at the time, Trump's Facebook posts were frequently among the most popular in the US prior to his 2021 ban.

 Trump is the first former president to face criminal conviction and a YouTube and Twitter ban.


Although these profiles were no longer restricted last year, Trump continues to converse on his owned social media platform, Truth Social, before reposting to other networks.

 Following a poll by Elon Musk, the CEO of the firm, asking followers to vote "yes" or "no" on whether Trump's account should be restored, Trump made a comeback to Twitter, which is now known as X. Evidently, "Yes" prevailed with 51.8% of the vote.

 Following the Capitol Hill riots that left five people dead and over 100 police officers injured, the major digital corporations took action. Trump was charged with repeatedly disseminating false information and encouraging violence.
